Episode 6 of this 6-part CBF grant funded series WOW features Maha Laxmi Grace aka ‘Cosmic Grandma’.
Birthing doula, activist, astrologer, public speaker and community Elder.
When a traumatic childhood event left Maha with the inability to communicate confidently, she retreated to and took solace in her natural surrounds.
While still at school this budding cosmic astrologer was chosen as the Australian ambassador for the United Nations and travelled to the US during ‘The Summer of Love’.
Some would say Maha is homeless, although I’m sure she will tell you the world is her home. From Bali to Burning Man, India to the outback, galactic and global voyages galore, we hear stories of people, places, and cultures that have helped to pave the path on which this wise woman wanders.
As the final guest in the WOW series Maha was the hardest to pin down. After months of global travel, wherein many messages were sent from the phones of people who spent time with this colourful cosmic creature on variety of continents, there were doubts as to whether this recording would ever transpire.
Each message however, ended with a confirmation of her desire to be included in what she felt was an important project, so a space remained open until the day she eventually landed back in the Shire, always an unmistakable sight, layered in shades of blue and turquoise, silks and scarves trailing behind her like the tails of a comet.
On a sunny afternoon somewhere between the ocean and the bush, with crickets and cicadas vibrating in the background to accompany this completely spontaneous interview, it finally happened!
Devoid of any preparation or pre-discussion, we agreed to let the interview unfold naturally. Life has a way of allowing such occasions when we are open and leave space for certain unexpected cosmic encounters into the unknown….
Tune into Belly this Tuesday 25th Feb from 9am to hear the full interview or check out the full series on Spotify.
