The hundreds of community radio stations around Australia can only exist because of the generous natures of around 27,000 Volunteers. At BayFM our dozens of Volunteers are our most precious resource. They volunteer because they believe community radio matters – and they do it for nothing. They also make up most of the people who work here. In fact the only people who do get paid are in specialist roles, doing technical and financial stuff. So of course, we’re always on the lookout for new Volunteers.

Could you be our newest Volunteer?

If you can spare just a few hours, or as much as a couple of days a week, you’re good with people, friendly and fun – Volunteering could be for you. You don’t need to be able to rewire a radio transmitter – something as simple as just answering the phone can be really helpful. Our Vollies generally have skills in one or more of these areas:

• Broadcaster

• Admin

• Presentation/Production

• Technical/Digital

• Sponsorship/Media sales

If you can help, please get in touch and we can have a chat. Use the form below to tell us about yourself. All our Volunteers are required to become Members of BayFM, but that’s just $10 a year. Thank you.
