People have been pinching posters for the latest production by the Mullumbimby Drill Hall Theatre Company called ‘Eight Gigabytes Of Hardcore Pornography’. Are they doing it as censorship or for souvenirs? With a name like that it’s hard to know.
The play, written by the Artisitc Director of Sydney’s Griffin Theatre Comapny, Declan Greene, is a confronting tale about internet dating and sex addiction. Two lonely, middle-aged people find eachother online and try to make a go of it but when he’s hooked on porn and she’s shopping all the time, it’s hard to connect in real time and space.
John Rado plays Him and Kasadevi Curtis plays her. Kas joined Nelly on air to talk about the journey she’s been on to be up on stage fully fabulous and naked.
