Eyesite is probably one of the hardest working bands out there. Renowned for their energetic shows and crowd engagement, the four-piece rock band from the Northern Rivers unsurprisingly has a loyal following and has headlined many a festival.

Serving up heavy, fast and raw songs, Eyesite remains on point in combining their insightful songwriting and instrumentation. Shredding aside, the guys were kind enough to give us a bit of an insight about the band and what 2025 holds for them.

  1. Talk us through your process of collaboration and song writing?

We like to let Harris (Lead singer) come up with an initial riff or chord progression. From there, we listen to what he’s made and add all of our parts, usually starting from the bass or drums. After that, we’ll talk about whether the song needs anything extra or a new part. Finally, Harris will make some lyrics to go on top to finish the song.” Jordan Green, Bass player
  2. Who or what influences your music and sound?

While we try to remain as original as possible other bands do influence our sound and what we would like our songs to sound like. I’d say bands including Basement, Dear Seattle and Sly Withers are among these. They all share a lot of emotion an energy in the way their songs
    are written.
  3. What does 2025 hold for you guys?

2025 looks like it will be a great year for us. We’ve already had some amazing gigs and have recently spent some time in the studio too, so be ready for some new music. We also have hopes to travel around some more and play in some new areas, which is very exciting.
  4. What excites you about the Northern Rivers music scene?

The Northern Rivers music scene always seems to be growing. There are so many incredible bands in our area and it’s exciting to see. Aside from the bands, we are seeing a growth in local gigs and D.I.Y festivals which is great to see, especially when the community get behind them. Flaming Heart Fest is a perfect example and one which we were lucky enough to join lineup this year.
  5. A world without music would be…

    A cruel cruel world.
