BayFM’s Multicultural Group conducted an Outside Broadcast from the Media Centre at Bluesfest 2025 and delivered great live coverage during the festival, providing our community with an opportunity to get a real feel for the event.
Friday and Saturday saw our reporters talking with festival-goers, catching reactions and stories. They made sure to include many multicultural voices, which were featured in between live
interviews with an impressive lineup of artists, including:
- Pat Powell from Melbourne Ska Orchestra, known for their upbeat ska and reggae mix
- Erik Iglesias Rodriguez AKA Cimafunk, bringing his exciting Afro-Cuban funk fusion
- Rising Indigenous artist Miss Kaninna
- Dynamic performer Nahko

The team also had a chance to interview one of BayFM’s founders, Nancy Falcone, and The Multicultural
Group’s leader, Judy Shelley. Each interview went live without a hitch, adding to the festival’s great vibe.
BayFM’s multicultural OB team included Fred Ramanzini from Lusofonia, Yolanda Santiago from Radio Latina, Judy Shelley, Jonny Simons and Nancy Falcone (Multicultural Nation) and Melissa Pilot (That’s Amore) supported by Jazz (OB Tech) and Brett Deimar.
