In their first ever collaboration, DJ Danu Lynch and broadcaster Nell Schofield are raising the
vibes for Byron’s own and only community radio station – Bay FM 99.9. With 16 red hot DJs
playing back to back at The Shack, the pair have curated a super special event to kick start your
summer.
“We wanted to create an amazing community party with an awesome local line-up and crowd
pleasing headliners.” says Danu. “And we reckon we’ve hit just the right note with our inaugural
BAY VIBES.”
Having worked in the Sydney music scene for many decades, and now spinning tunes at all the
best local parties, Danu has led the charge with a program of DJs who are all donating their
services for the benefit of the frequency.
Danu will play alongside fellow DJ’s Kate Monroe, Jason Lewis, GI Jode, Abel Toro, Danco,
Peach and Peppin. Bay FM DJs include Lippo, Balasko, Andrew Haig, Ilias the Greek,
Pedro, Sammy KC, Lainie Godiva and Andrea Jones.
Nell and Danu joined forces on this project earlier in the year when Danu, on a mission to
support female leadership in the Age of Aquarius, responded to an email that Schofield sent to
Bay FM’s supporters in her former role of President of the station.
“Bay FM’s equipment got fried in the maelstrom that was Cyclone Alfred and we needed funds
to replace it,” says Nell. “I knew Danu from other events that I had run so when she asked me to
partner in a fundraiser I was in.”
They are also running a raffle with prizes valued at over $2000 from Vision Walks, Jilly Wines,
Cosmic Yoga, the Treehouse, Brunswick Picture House, Beach restaurant, the Beach Hotel and
more!
