After a massive 18 years on air, our amazing hosts of Solar Love Machine are hanging up their headphones. We’re gutted but grateful to have had the mighty Lord Sut and Dale Stephen with us for so many sunsets and wish them all the very best with their new ventures.

Lord Sut’s final hoorah will be an epic program 4pm – 6pm Saturday Jan 13. And Dale Stephen’s last crank of the Machine will be on Jan 20, just before he comes downstairs to join us for our station fundraiser Boogie For BayFM in the Byron Theatre.

“It’s been a wonderful 18 years with the station for me with Natural Balance originally in 2006,” said Sut (Darren Sutton), founder of Solar Love Machine. Sut teamed up with Dale Stephen for the show eight years ago when they started their massive monthly Nudge Nudge Wink Wink dance party at the Billinudgel Hotel.

“Dale is the 3rd and longest co-presenter of Solar Love Machine. Respect to Amy J and Lady Marmalade prior to that,” says Sut. “Thank you all for the opportunity of having me present various shows, and help and support with some of the digital aspects and play at the many fundraisers over the years. It’s been a great part of my life since moving here and I know I will miss it but need to make a change to allow me more focus time on my own creative projects.”

Nudge of course will keep on keeping on nudging into the future for your dancing pleasure. But if you can’t make it to the dancefloor you can find the Solar Love Machine’s back catalogue here.

Love you guys!
