BayFM’s first collab with the Brunz Picture House was electric! Branded Face The Music the event was more than just a trivia night. It was a rock quiz with a live band and an air guitar competition won, incidentally, by Goonangerry’s own GG Griffendore (half of the post menopausal punk rock band Mutton whose other half co-hosts Roadtrip).
Nick Mercer, from Beats n Business also gave the comp a crack along with Bridie Tanner from ABC North Coast, the bride of our Studio Manager Robbie Armfield who stepped up in a neck brace to play duelling MCs with event instigator, Danny Salfield from The Sandpit.
Organiser Yaz from YAC Radio (and hopefully future shows) delighted us with her singing, and things ran as smooth as a baby’s bottom thanks to former President Ange Kent from Northern Rivers Music Box and former Treasurer Pat Campbell (co-host of Up the Junction).
There were some crack team names including the winners, Trivia Newton-John. With members like Nick Richardson from Up The Junction, Deb Sharpe and the aforementioned Mercer onboard, they were always a hot favourite.
Big thanks to all who came and shared the love of the frequency and our beautiful community. And a special shout out to the Brunswick Picture House crew led by the indefatigable ringmasters Chris Cheng and Brett Haylock. Rock on legends!
