Our set list is epic with resident BayFM DJs including Dale Stephen (Solar Love Machine), Sammy KC (Funk Me Radio Show), and Ria Listic, Balasko, Andrea Jones & Lainie Godiva (Sistas of Spin).
These dedicated beat bandits will get your feet pumping for 6 hours of deep house, funk and electro boogie vibes, all for the love of the most easterly station in the nation.
Point one degree below boiling, BayFM 99.9 has been broadcasting the best beats across the Northern Rivers airwaves for over 30 years. We’re 100% independent, volunteer-run, not-for-profit (and award-winning!) with studios right upstairs from the Byron Theatre. And we’ve got some of the hottest DJ’s on the local scene bringing their excellent shows to you each week.
Local dance fiends will know Dale Stephen as co-host of the massive monthly ‘Nudge Nudge Wink Wink’ party which has been a Shire staple for 8 years. He co-hosts the Solar Love Machine every Saturday evening 4pm – 6pm.
Sammy KC & Pedro dig deep into funk, nu funk, disco and nu disco on their Tuesday night Funk Me Radio Show (10pm – midnight).
Sistas of Spin is a high rotation of outstanding local female DJs broadcast 6pm – 8pm every Friday night. The Sistas include Ria Listic who has been lighting up dance floors with a passion for house music since the late 90’s. Mix Mistress Balasko loves sparkly dance tunes that get your booty shakin’ with her luscious sets. Ex Wax Addict Andrea Jones spins vinyl classic mixes, and Lainie Godiva works the decks for your sunset dancing pleasure.
All proceeds from Boogie for BayFM will help update studio equipment and fund the station’s operations.
