In 2008, Shreveport slide guitarist Buddy Flett suffered a near-fatal bout of viral encephalitis that left him unable to walk, talk or play guitar. Buddy recovered, blessed by the love and support of not only his family and friends but by the music community as a whole. His ordeal is the inspiration for this album, and all proceeds go to support the newly formed Northern Louisiana Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Foundation.
