BELLY is radio you can taste!

An hour dedicated to meeting all the most delicious people living in or passing through the Northern Rivers - cooks and chefs and teachers, growers and breeders, innovators and traditionalists, anyone with a passion for good food - and this region is stuffed full of them!

The show is brought top you by the bellysisters – once good catholic girls, now members of a dangerous cult of food, fun, friends and frivolity.

Everyone who cares about good food is a bellysister, but running the kitchen right now are sister Tess (Mariateresa) Corino and sister Bernadette Monaghan, and our fabulous new bellysisters Sister Fransista and Sister Rasela.

We also love to share food stories with people from many countries, to bring you happy tasty memories, stories of love and family celebrations, the rich traditions many of our neighbours have left behind, instead of the bombs and misery that dominate the news. And we always ask our guests to share a recipe with bayfm listeners.

We believe that community radio should tell the stories of people who normally have no access to the media, and that these stories are often far more interesting than the doings of the latest ‘celebrity’.

Our current focus is on food history - those little pieces of history that we or our parents and grandparents have lived through. Everything is changing so fast, and our memories are short. Please come and share your memories with the bayfm listeners.
