Modern Jazz used to mean bebop or hard bop but these days it's just a  phrase to mean jazz music listened to by moderns. In other words,  you and me! 

We'll have a rapturous time on Sunday mornings listening to Bud & Bird,  Monk, Mingus & Miles, Duke, Dizzie & pals and all those Cool Cats who have followed up to the present day. Birthdays will be celebrated too.
