My Spiritual Journey has encompassed an Irish Catholic Upbringing in a suburb, primarily consisting of Public housing, being educated by RC Nuns , Christian Brothers and Jesuit Priests. I rejected all Religion until the age of 48 , when I began a Spiritual Journey after reading the Q'ran, which included conversion to Islam. As a Muslim I completed two full Hadj's (Pilgrimages) spending the actual day of Hadj on Mt Arafat with 3 million other Pilgrims.
Still unsettled by religious fanaticism my searching led to my Home in the Celestial Teachings of Baha'u'Lah.

I’m passionate  about presenting you with quality music, backed up with a little information to help and hopefully inspire you to get out there and dig for music yourself.  The world is full of talented musicians, often unknown to the general population.  Dig deep and you'll find myriad of surprises.  Don't just limit yourself to record stores or major labels.  The internet is a vast sea of music, just waiting to be found, as indeed is the local music scene.  We're blessed in Byron, to be surrounded by amazing musicians from all over the world, who have brought world music to our doorstep.

'A Long Strange Trip' concentrated on the Music of the Grateful Dead for two years and has expanded its consciousness further in the last six months.

There is a genre of music coming out of the US loosely described as 'JAMBAND', It's more about the music than ever before, extended jams, stretching and exploratory improvisational live performances, as well as a fiercely independent and organic distribution of music and news!

Bands such as Widespread Panic, Phish, moe., Railroad Earth. Yonder Mountain String Band, Tea Leaf Green, Hot Buttered Rum, etc. All have an original style and a wonderful connection with their audiences..

I'll be playing choice live cuts from the jamband scene, giving you updates and news about the ever expanding festival scene, as well as new and vault releases and stepping back into the time machine to bring you more of the intense psychedelic music of the Grateful Dead, Zappa etc.

I'm pretty sure that if you listen to this show you will be exposed to music that has NEVER been played on Australian Radio!

An exciting, dynamic programme reflecting DJ Dream Weaver's ability to Shapeshift between different musical genres but also looking at how music has shapeshifted our Planet.
